Tubing is the single fastest growing winter recreation in the country. The White House hill has been providing thrills for over 70 Years. We are pleased to offer our commercial quality tubes for your enjoyment. Our guests don't come to Vermont for tubing, but that it is what they talk about when they get home! SNOWSHOE CENTER & CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
 The White House Cross-country center has the "most scenic trails in southern Vermont". From the back door of the inn, guests can explore the trails that work through high meadows and forested valleys, enabling all visitors to truly understand and appreciate the beauty of Vermont. For the more advanced skier, the ungroomed, primitive trail will take you along beaver ponds and marshes on your three-hour trip into virgin forest. So few visitors see this remote area that this trail has been called, "...the rarely discovered treasure of southern Vermont".
The White House Snowshoe Center is the first of its kind in southern Vermont. While many cross-country centers have allowed snowshoeing for years, they have done so on limited trails. The White House has turned its entire pristine trail network over to the snowshoes. Snowshoeing is the only winter sport that is growing in popularity. Industry experts all predict that snowshoeing will continue to grow in popularity; this growth being aided in part by the aging baby-boomers. The sport has zero learning curve and the low body impact makes it perfect way for the novice outdoors-person to experience the Vermont wilderness.
The White House is proud to offer both Tubbs and Atlas Snowshoes that are for rent as well as sale.
